Drawing inspiration from the aesthetic of desert rallies, this limited-edition chronograph reinterprets the codes of motorsport through a warm, contemporary color palette.
Since its creation in 1963, the Carrera collection has firmly rooted its identity in the world of motor racing. Originally designed to offer optimal readability for drivers, it has continued to evolve without straying from its heritage. With this new Carrera Chronograph Limited Edition, available in 500 numbered pieces for Europe, TAG Heuer explores new creative territory. Inspired by the aesthetics of desert rallies, this interpretation combines the spirit of speed with warmer tones, evoking wide-open spaces and adventure.
Its 39mm-diameter case in polished and satin-finished steel retains the balanced proportions that have made this product line so successful. The beige dial, finely grained to evoke sand, adds subtle depth to the overall design, while the anthracite sub-dials create a striking contrast that enhances readability. A tachymeter scale underscores the watch’s sporty character without weighing down its design. Protected by a sapphire crystal case back and water-resistant to 100m, this Carrera Chronograph Limited Edition asserts a contemporary presence, blending understated elegance with automotive heritage.
At the heart of the model beats the self-winding TH20-00 in-house caliber. With an 80-hour power reserve, it drives the hours and minutes (at the center of the dial), the 1/4th-second chronograph functions, with 30-minute (at 3 o’clock) and 12-hour (at 9 o’clock) counters, as well as a date window (at 6 o’clock). This TAG Heuer watch is paired with a perforated beige calfskin strap, whose finishes echo the gloves and seats of race cars past and present.
