This 50-piece limited series takes advantage of the characteristics of a manual-wind caliber and a design inspired by Aston Martin cars.

Lorige continues to develop its collections, forever in keeping with the spirit of endurance motor races, namely thanks to a partnership with Aston Martin. Its new BL-Evolution Hyperblack watch takes on the brake pads used in the Heart of Racing Team’s Valkyrie AMR-LMH prototypes on the Qatar 1812 km and the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans to craft their one-of-a-kind carbon/carbon cases (50 x 42 x 10.30 mm).

On the skeletonized dial, the time data scenography features an hour chapter that hosts solid-block numerals flaunting the British brand’s colors. What’s more, two elements stand out. Both inform the wearer of the energy still available. One, a nod to rev counters, displays the power reserve stored with a small hand. The other counts down the number of days remaining in an aperture at 9 o’clock.

Energy distribution plays a crucial role in this model. This creation enjoys the performances of a caliber developed by the Swiss manufacture Chronode. This manual-wind movement, LOR-DB02, assembled using some 175 components, including twin barrels, delivers impressive 168-hour autonomy, i.e. 7 days. A dynamometric crown ensures winding’s secure and optimized. The finishes on this motor, visible through the openworked dial and sapphire-crystal back, such as the micro-blasted black PVD mainplate and bridges, emphasize the bold design of the sculptural BL-Evolution Hyperblack, which comes complete with a vulcanized rubber strap.
