Oris introduces a redesigned version of the ProPilot Calibre 111, applying the latest design developments of its ProPilot Date collection to one of the brand’s most distinctive mechanical watches.
The new model retains the collection’s aviation-inspired details and the hand-wound Calibre 111, known for its 10-day power reserve, while introducing revised dial finishes and updated case and strap details.
Available with a black or pine green dial, the watch is offered on a stainless steel bracelet or a dark brown Cordovan leather strap.
The redesign follows the recent evolution of the ProPilot Date, which introduced a more defined case and dial design, an organic texture inspired by nature, refined applied numerals and luminous hands, and improvements to the ergonomics of the folding LIFT clasp.
It also brought a seamless strap adjustment system.
The dial is one of the most noticeable areas of change.
Its main surface now features vertical brushing, while the textured finish appears as a secondary element around the dial and in the spaces between the applied hour markers.
This combination gives the watch a more structured appearance, balancing the organic texture with a more formal finish.
The black and pine green versions share the same layout, with applied indices and hands filled with Super-LumiNova for legibility.
Hours and minutes are indicated centrally, while a small seconds display, date window and non-linear power reserve indicator complete the dial.
The case is made from stainless steel and measures 43 mm in diameter, with a thickness of 13.2 mm and a lug-to-lug distance of 51 mm.
A domed sapphire crystal with internal anti-reflective coating protects the dial, while the screwed case back incorporates a sapphire display window.
The screw-in crown and water resistance to 100 metres / 330 feet reinforce the watch’s everyday practicality.
The angled fluting of the bezel and oversized crown remain defining features, preserving the ProPilot’s visual connection with aviation instruments.
Powering the watch is Oris Calibre 111, a hand-wound movement developed in-house. It provides a power reserve of 240 hours, or ten days, delivered by a single large mainspring barrel.
Operating at a frequency of 3 Hz (21,600 vibrations per hour), Calibre 111 was first presented in the Artelier collection, including the Artelier Calibre 111, before being adopted by the ProPilot family.
The Oris ProPilot Calibre 111 is priced at CHF 6,100 / €6,100 / US$7,400 with its multi-piece stainless steel bracelet fitted with the LIFT folding clasp or at CHF 5,900 / €5,900 / US$7,200 with a dark brown Cordovan leather strap featuring the same clasp. oris.ch
