Glashütte Original expands its SeaQ collection with two new limited editions inspired by the colours of the North Atlantic. Named Northern Tide, the new SeaQ and SeaQ Panorama Date combine turquoise dégradé dials with the robust specifications of the German manufacture’s professional diving watches.

Each model is produced in a limited edition of 100 pieces and will be available exclusively in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

The vivid turquoise dégradé dials are inspired by the colours of the North Atlantic, transitioning from bright blue to darker tones to evoke the sea’s ever-changing character.

The SeaQ “Northern Tide” is housed in a stainless steel case measuring 39.5 mm in diameter and 12.15 mm in thickness. Its matte lacquered turquoise dial features a gradient that gradually darkens towards the periphery, with each dial individually crafted, giving every watch a slightly unique appearance.

Applied Arabic numerals and indexes filled with Super-LumiNova ensure excellent legibility, while a date display at 3 o’clock uses a white disc against a black background.

As a professional diver’s watch, the SeaQ is equipped with a screw-down crown, a unidirectional rotating bezel with a black ceramic insert and a screw-down sapphire crystal caseback.

Water resistance is rated to 20 bar (200 metres / 660 feet), and the watch complies with both DIN and ISO standards for diving watches, with every example undergoing a comprehensive multi-stage testing procedure.

Visible through the sapphire crystal caseback is the automatic Calibre 39-11, featuring the traditional Glashütte three-quarter plate decorated with stripe finishing, a swan-neck fine adjustment, bevelled edges, polished steel components and a skeletonised rotor with the manufacture’s double-G logo and a heavy-metal oscillation weight.

The movement operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and provides a power reserve of approximately 40 hours.

For those seeking a larger format and additional functionality, Glashütte Original also presents the SeaQ Panorama Date “Northern Tide”

Its stainless steel case measures 43.2 mm in diameter and 15.65 mm in thickness, while maintaining the collection’s characteristic diver’s watch architecture with a screw-down crown and a unidirectional rotating bezel featuring a scratch-resistant black ceramic insert.

The turquoise dégradé dial follows the same aesthetic approach as the smaller SeaQ, with applied Arabic numerals, luminous indexes and hands generously filled with Super-LumiNova for optimal readability in low-light conditions or underwater.

Powering the watch is the manufacture Calibre 36-13, an automatic movement operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and offering an impressive power reserve of approximately 100 hours.

The movement incorporates a silicon hairspring, a regulator-free fine adjustment system, the characteristic Glashütte three-quarter plate with stripe finishing, bevelled edges, polished steel components, polished and blued screws, and a skeletonised rotor fitted with a 21-carat gold oscillation weight.

The calibre is secured inside the case by a bayonet mounting system designed to improve shock resistance. Water-resistant to 30 bar (300 metres / 1,000 feet), the SeaQ Panorama Date complies with the requirements of the German DIN 8306 standard and the international ISO 6425 standard for professional diving watches.

Both models are delivered on a stainless steel bracelet equipped with a fine-adjustment mechanism and are accompanied by an additional black synthetic strap fitted with a butterfly folding clasp.
