Cyrus Genève is presenting today the new Dominion Jawhar, a special version of its GMT model presented earlier this year (read about it here) designed for enthusiasts and collectors in the Middle East.
A bespoke edition of only 28 pieces, the Dominion Jawhar (meaning “essence” or “jewel” in Arabic) will make its official debut at the seventh edition of Dubai Watch Week, taking place from November 19th to 23rd, 2025, at Dubai Mall, Burj Park, a prestigious venue where Cyrus Genève will present its latest novelties.
The openworked dial of the watch showcases a multi-layered structure: at its core lies a mainplate with 5N red gold galvanic treatment while above it stands the palm-shaped upper bridge, which has a black galvanic treatment and brushed and sandblasted finishes.
The time is displayed via indices in Arabic script on a transparent sapphire crystal disc, which glow blue in the dark thanks to their SuperLumiNova coating.
The white lacquered 24-hour GMT ring features grey outlines and shiny black hour markers in Arabic characters.
The minutes on the flange and the small seconds indication are also displayed in shiny black against a white background.
At 6 o’clock, the grey triangular motif, a signature of Cyrus Genève, brings added depth, while the black seconds hand echoes the Maison’s logo.
The Dominion Jawhar comes in a 42 mm case, crafted from grade 5 titanium, which stands out with a finely worked caseband.
The signature twin crowns are adorned with the brand’s logo and decorated with slanting grooves for improved grip. Alternating polished and brushed finishes highlight the case’s sculptural curves.
Well suited for travel and daily wear with its water resistance of 10 bar (approximately 100 metres or 330 feet), the watch features a double anti-reflective sapphire crystal protecting both the dial and the movement.
At the heart of the Dominion Jawhar beats the self-winding CYR708 calibre, developed by Jean-François Mojon and produced in our manufacture in Le Locle, Switzerland.
This in-house movement, composed of 278 components, features a variable-inertia balance wheel that beats at 28.800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), offering a power reserve of 55 hours.
Through the sapphire crystal back, you can admire the finely finished movement: NAC-treated bridges with embossed rays, alternating brushed and microbeaded textures, and bevelled edges that catch the light.
The openworked 5N red gold-plated rotor, featuring the Maison’s rhodium-plated helix logo, is engraved with the motto “The Conquest of Innovation”, reflecting Cyrus Genève’s commitment to excellence.
The ring around the crystal includes the engravings “Movement by J.F. Mojon”, water resistance details, and the inscription “1 of 28”.
Completed by a black alligator leather strap, secured by a titanium pin buckle, the Cyrus Genève Dominion Jawhar Limited Edition, ref. 528.507.TT.C, is priced at CHF 24.800, excluding taxes. cyrus-watches.ch
