Revived in 2023 by LVMH, the Gérald Genta brand continues to develop the design language of the celebrated watch designer under the direction of La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton.
In January 2026, the line expanded with two Geneva Time Only models, retaining the collection’s distinctive cushion-shaped case while adopting a more restrained design centred on hours and minutes.
Named after the city where Gérald Genta was born, the Geneva collection reinterprets the designer’s original 1970s aesthetic through softer lines and refined proportions.
Following the article presenting the Geneva Time Only in its Grafite and Marrone versions, we had the opportunity to photograph the Geneva Time Only Marrone ref. ECFD01A1 at Pisa 1940’s flagship store in Milan.
The historic retailer is a familiar destination for watch collectors and has collaborated with several prestigious watchmakers on exclusive editions.

The Geneva Time Only models feature a 38 mm cushion-shaped case measuring 8.15 mm thick.
Polished and satin-brushed surfaces play against each other, while a sculpted gadroon accentuates the transition between the case’s curves and edges.
The Marrone version features a 4N rose gold case paired with matching hands and a grained brass dial in warm brown tones.
A smoked gradient effect adds depth to the dial, while the two-part minute track introduces a subtle geometric contrast.
Its outer section follows the cushion-shaped outline of the case, whereas the inner section forms a perfect circle, reinforcing the watch’s distinctive shape between round and square.
The case’s silhouette is further defined by a single, broader and shorter lug on each side.
The watch is fitted with a light brown calfskin strap secured by a rose gold pin buckle.
Powering the Geneva Time Only Marrone is the Zenith Elite GG-005P automatic calibre, equipped with a revised oscillating mass developed in-house.
Visible through the sapphire crystal case back, the movement operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and provides a power reserve of approximately 50 hours. Water resistance is rated to 50 metres.
