Swiss independent watchmaker Armin Strom presents a new interpretation of its One Week model in stainless steel with a fresh dial colour combination.
A limited edition of 100 pieces, the One Week Manufacture Edition Blue comes in a 41 mm x 10.6 mm case featuring an integrated bracelet with H-shaped links and satin-brushed and polished surfaces.
It fastens with a triple folding clasp featuring security push-pieces.
The watch is water resistant to a pressure of 10 ATM (approximately 100 metres / 330 feet), thanks in part to a screwed-down crown, well protected by two guards that reinforce its sporty character.
Showcasing several components of the manufacture movement, the dial side is distinguished by the deep blue of the PVD-coloured mainplate and bridges, against which the other elements stand out beautifully.
The two mainspring barrels working in series are held by sculpted finger-style bridges. Symmetrically arranged on the right portion of the open dial, they are embossed with the text “ARMIN STROM ONE WEEK DOUBLE BARREL.”
For improved legibility, the central hour and minute hands, along with the small seconds hand at 9 o’clock, are filled with white Super-LumiNova, which glows green in low light.
A signature feature is the three-dimensional power reserve indicator, driven by a conical gear and polished cone, a kinetic reference to traditional pocket watches.
The One Week is powered by the 194-part hand-wound Calibre ARM21, entirely developed, decorated and assembled in-house.
Operating at a frequency of 3.5 Hz (25,200 vibrations per hour), the movement delivers an impressive seven-day power reserve thanks to its two barrels.
The One Week features meticulous hand-finishing, including straight and circular graining, chamfered and polished bevels, Geneva stripes and polished screws. Each movement is assembled twice to guarantee both precision and flawless finishing.
