Mido expands the Multifort 8 line with a new interpretation defined by a deep blue-green tone, introducing the Multifort 8 One Crown “Midnight green” (ref. M055.507.17.091.00).
Following the black and blue versions, this model continues the collection’s focus on geometric structure and everyday functionality, here expressed through an octagonal case design and matching tones extending from the dial to the strap.
The stainless steel case, measuring 40 mm in diameter and composed of three parts, is characterised by its eight-sided bezel, where alternating polished and satin-finished surfaces highlight the dynamic design.
With a lug-to-lug length of 44.86 mm and water resistance to 10 bar (100 metres / 330 feet), the watch maintains a compact and practical profile, further reinforced by a screw-down crown and case back.
A sapphire crystal with double-sided anti-reflective coating protects the dial, while the transparent case back reveals the movement inside.
The “Midnight green” dial is structured around horizontal relief lines that emphasise depth and texture. Depending on the light, the surface shifts between green and blue-green tones.
Applied indexes with polished surfaces and white Super-LumiNova are paired with tri-faceted hour and minute hands, also luminescent, ensuring readability in varying conditions.
A discreet date aperture at 3 o’clock integrates into the layout, while a minute track on the flange reinforces the functional clarity of the display.
Powering the watch is the automatic Mido Caliber 80, based on the ETA C07.611 architecture.
Operating at 3 Hz (21,600 vibrations per hour) and offering a power reserve of up to 80 hours, the movement is equipped with a Nivachron balance spring designed to improve resistance to shocks and magnetic fields.
The oscillating weight, visible through the case back, is decorated with Côtes de Genève and engraved with the Mido logo, adding a traditional finishing detail to the otherwise technical architecture.
The movement is adjusted in three positions to ensure stable performance.
The watch is completed by a green rubber strap matching the dial’s “Midnight green” tone, structured with horizontal reliefs that mirror the surface pattern of the dial.
A satin-finished stainless steel pin buckle and a quick-change system allow the watch to be adapted easily to different wearing styles, reinforcing the model’s everyday versatility.
