IWC has unveiled two limited-edition Pilot’s Watches developed in collaboration with Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team driver George Russell.

The editions comprise a chronograph and a time-only automatic model, both executed in black zirconium oxide ceramic and distinguished by restrained blue accents.

Both watches feature black dials with printing and Super-LumiNova in a vivid blue tone. This colour is directly linked to Russell’s helmet design and has been consistently associated with him throughout his racing career.

The same blue shade is also used for the rubber straps, creating a coherent visual link between dial and case.

They are equipped with a soft-iron inner case for protection against magnetic fields, while the sapphire crystal is secured against displacement caused by drops in air pressure.

The IWC Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 (ref. IW389411) is housed in a 41.9 mm black ceramic case with a thickness of 15.5 mm. The crown and pushers are made of Ceratanium, IWC’s proprietary material combining the lightness of titanium with ceramic-like hardness.

The chronograph is powered by the IWC-manufactured Calibre 69380, an integrated automatic chronograph movement with a column wheel and vertical clutch architecture.

It operates at 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) and delivers a power reserve of 46 hours. The titanium case back is engraved with the number “63”, the racing number Russell has used since his early karting career.

The IWC Watch Automatic 41 (ref. IW328107) comes in a 41 mm black ceramic case with a thickness of 11.4 mm. The crown is again made from Ceratanium.

The dial follows the same layout and colour scheme as the chronograph, with blue luminous numerals and hands and a date display at 3 o’clock.

Inside, the automatic model is powered by the IWC-manufactured Calibre 32112, operating at 4 Hz and equipped with a double-pawl winding system.

This construction enables a power reserve of 120 hours. As on the chronograph, the titanium case back is engraved with the number “63”.

Both models are water-resistant to 10 bar (100 metres / 330 feet) and are supplied with rubber straps fitted with Ceratanium pin buckles and IWC’s EasX-CHANGE system, allowing tool-free strap replacement. The lug width is 20 mm.
