What We Know

After a string of three successful collaborations, the trio of Seiko, NYC-based clothing brand Rowing Blazers, and Eric Wind of Wind Vintage is back after a long hiatus with its fourth set of creations.

If you’re thinking that the two new models might seem awfully familiar, you’d be right. They’re essentially a continuation of one of the first models in the original Rowing Blazers Seiko collaboration, reference SRPG49. That “Rally Diver” from 2021 itself served as an homage to a vintage Rally Diver Seiko from the late sixties, a watch that Eric Wind credits as the first vintage watch he’d ever purchased.

Now, five years later, the group is bringing forth two new versions of this Rally Diver Seiko 5 Sports watch, each numbered and limited to a generous 2,500 pieces, bringing the total for this launch to a pretty large 5,000 units. The blue Rally Diver, ref. SRPM19 continues the 42.5mm sizing of the 2021 edition, while the green dial comes in a smaller 38mm case size. The distinctive checkered aluminum insert on the unidirectional rotating bezel is rendered in silver and either bright blue or forest green, matching the color of the double-signed dial. While the handset is primarily brushed, the pointing half of the seconds hand is striped in red and white. Both models are delivered on a steel bracelet (yes, with that familiar stamped Seiko 5 clasp), and the green Rally Diver includes an additional blue nylon strap. In contrast, the blue Rally Diver includes an additional green nylon strap in the box.

The Seiko 4R36 caliber, a mainstay of Seiko 5 models, offers a power reserve of 41 hours while beating away at a frequency of 21,600 VpH. It’s partially obstructed through the exhibition caseback, thanks to some prominent printing of Rowing Blazers’ Bath Club motif, depicting a dripping faucet, along with the Seiko and Wind Vintage logos.

The Rowing Blazers x Seiko 5 Sports capsule launches Thursday, July 9th, 2026, at 11am ET, and you can grab the new watches from the websites of both Rowing Blazers and Seiko. A small number will be available at Rowing Blazers’ NYC location, and both models will be priced at $495.

What We Think

It’s been a minute since we saw the back-to-back, year-after-year triple feature from the eclectic combination of collaborators—while Rowing Blazers and Wind Vintage might not appear to have much in common from afar, the combo makes much more sense once you know that Eric Wind and Rowing Blazers founder Jack Carlson were once Georgetown classmates (and, of course, friends). I remember the frenzy that the original collaboration stirred online during the era of limited-edition-collaboration-everything mania. Yes, I managed to grab one of the Rally Divers back then, and it’s been a watch I’ve loved dearly since.

The nylon strap is the proper way to wear this, IMO.

The new collaboration is quite safe in its design choices, and I think that’s intentional. The original Rally Diver from 2021 was arguably the most popular iteration of the original three models, and with only 500 of those made, the significantly larger quantities this time around of the blue and green Rally Divers are a way to let more people in on the fun while letting the original feel special in all of its monochromatic (save for the seconds hand) glory. Fans of blue with smaller wrists might be saddened to see only the green version get a smaller case size this time around, but if it’s any consolation, the Seiko 5 Sports case has always worn quite compact lug-to-lug. Although Rowing Blazers x Seiko capsules have never strictly targeted traditional watch collectors, the success of past launches suggests they will continue to do incredibly well with both Rowing Blazers’ more fashion-forward audience and the internet at large.
