eBay Finds is back! This bi-monthly installment will feature a selection of watches currently listed on eBay that have caught the eye of editor Christoph McNeil (@vintagediver). If you come across any hidden gems on the ‘Bay drop us a note at info@wornandwound.com for potential inclusion.

Vintage Omega Seamaster

While the 1950’s “fat lug” Seamasters may be the more well known of the non-diver Seamasters, Omega made plenty of other really nice variations, this one included. The 34mm steel case looks like it has been polished at some point in its life, but not polished to death. This one has a thinner bezel and slim lugs, but these complement the slim applied steel markers and unusual sword hands. The silver/white dial looks original and clean as well. The Omega caliber 591 automatic movement looks good and runs well per the seller. The crown is not original, which is a bummer but not always a deal breaker. The watch does come on an Omega beads of rice bracelet, which may not be original but is definitely period correct.

Vintage Benrus

Here’s a sweet looking vintage Benrus daily watch. Classic 34mm round steel case with simple lugs looks unpolished with sharp edges and original brushed finish on the sides. The silver crosshair dial is absolutely mint, with long, slim hour markers and lume filled dauphine hands. No date window to ruin the beautiful symmetry. The crown is original and signed with the Benrus three-star logo. The watch comes on a non-original vintage steel stretch band, but would look way better with a nice lizard or leather strap for sure. No movement picture as the case is frontloading, but it runs well per the seller. Great looking piece that should be very wallet friendly.

Vintage Seiko Bell-Matic

Here we have a cool and uncommon vintage Seiko Bell-Matic alarm watch. This version of the classic Bell-Matic has a large cushion case, with a non-moving blue plastic bezel insert. The alarm button is recessed into the top right corner of the chunky case, protecting it from being bumped accidentally. The blue bezel is unique and fun I think, and gives the watch its own look. The Hardlex mineral crystal has some scratches, but it can be replaced. The dial underneath looks clean and the lume is nice and bright. The watch comes on the original steel bracelet, which complements the overall look perfectly. Great vintage Seiko!

Vintage Bulova Military Watch

Next up is this very cool, very tiny vintage Bulova military watch. The listing doesn’t say the size, but if memory serves these are 32mm wide without the original oversized crown. The steel case is in overall good shape, with the original matte finish. The black military dial has easy to read lumed Arabic numerals and also a 24 hour inner track of numbers. Nice lume filled white hands for easy time telling. The original, high dome acrylic crystal shows some crazing from age, but hey, it’s still original! The Bulova caliver 10BNCH manual wind movement is clean looking and has the original inner cover as well.  A really neat piece for the Bulova and/or military watch collector.

Vintage 1960s Movado

Next we have a beautiful vintage Movado dress watch. The 34mm case is solid 14k white gold, and is sharp and unpolished, with nice slim lugs. The silver dial has an even, pleasing patina that gives it a really unique look. The dial has slim applied markers and the Movado name and applied logo at 12 o’clock. Nice and symmetrical with no date window. The slim crown is signed with the Movado logo. There is no movement picture, but the seller states the watch has been serviced, including NOS crown, stem and crystal. Really a gorgeous vintage 14k gold dress watch – understated bling!

Solid Gold Omega Dress Watch

Finishing off strong with a second solid gold gem, this time a sweet vintage 1961 Omega dress watch. The solid 14k yellow gold case is 32mm wide, and is unpolished with nice sharp edges. The dial is a super clean champagne/gold color with slim, elegant markers and hands. As with the Movado above, no date window to mess with the symmetry. The original crown is signed with the Omega log. The caseback has no logo or anything, likely meant to be engraved as a presentation watch or gift. The manual wind movement is clean and bright and runs well per the seller. The watch comes on a lizard (?) strap that has a gold buckle with an Omega logo. I’ve never seen this type of buckle, so I can’t say whether it’s genuine or not. Either way, it looks sharp.
