Consistent with the rest of the collection, the Carrera Chronograph 41 mm Glassbox is characterised by its distinctive sapphire crystal, which curves seamlessly over the three-dimensional dial and flows directly into the bezel-free case.

The new model debuted in three colour variations, including blue, teal green, and black, all featuring a classic tri-compax layout.

We recently had the opportunity to wear and test the teal green version, reference CBS2115.BA0053, for several days, and we are now pleased to share our impressions alongside a series of new live photographs.

This new Carrera Chronograph Glassbox comes in a stainless steel case measuring 41 mm in diameter and 14.17 mm in thickness, with the crystal alone accounting for approximately 3 mm.

Its dynamic lines are highlighted by alternating polished and satin-brushed surfaces. The lugs curve downwards to follow the profile of the wrist, ensuring optimal comfort and wearability.

The case is equipped with classic pump pushers, with start and stop at 2 o’clock and reset at 4 o’clock.

Although the crown is not screw-down, water resistance is guaranteed to 10 bar (100 metres / 330 feet).

The case is topped with a domed sapphire crystal treated with anti-reflective coating on both sides, reminiscent of the hesalite crystals found on 1970s Carrera models.

The curve of the crystal flows seamlessly over the tachymeter scale and into the case.

Similarly, the flange and indices are curved to integrate with the structure, a development that also enhances legibility from wider viewing angles.

The teal green dial is particularly eye-catching, featuring a circular brushed finish complemented by snailed, tone-on-tone counters.

This specific shade has recently emerged as a modern signature for TAG Heuer, appearing across various collections to bridge the gap between heritage and contemporary design.

The chronograph 12-hour and 30-minute counters are positioned at 9 and 3 o’clock respectively, while the running seconds are displayed at 6 o’clock. The choice to omit a date aperture ensures the cleanest possible readout.

Inspired by vintage 1970s models, the hour and minute hands feature a central groove and black-filled tips.

The TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph 41 mm is paired with a seven-row steel bracelet with fine-brushed and polished finishing that recalls the fluidity of the “beads of rice” design from the 1960s.

It is secured by a folding clasp with double safety push-buttons. We loved how it enhances the vintage character of the timepiece. We only missed a micro-adjustment system.

The new TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph 41 mm has a suggested retail price of CHF 7,500 / €7,950 / US$7,950.

With this 41 mm Carrera Glassbox, TAG Heuer has successfully translated the charm of the 39 mm models into a format that will appeal to those who prefer a slightly more assertive presence on the wrist.

The execution of the curved sapphire crystal remains the defining element, giving the watch a distinctive profile while enhancing legibility and depth.

In teal green, the watch strikes a thoughtful balance between vintage cues and contemporary refinement. Combined with the robust TH20-01 calibre and its 80-hour power reserve, it offers both visual character and  technical substance.

At its price point, the Carrera Chronograph 41 mm positions itself as a compelling option within the modern sports column-wheel chronograph segment, blending heritage references with everyday practicality. tagheuer.com
