Piaget has unveiled the Andy Warhol ‘Collage’ Watch, a 50-piece limited edition directly inspired by an artwork of the American artist.
Following the unveiling of the collaboration between Piaget and The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts at the end of last year, which lends the name to this iconic watch, it is inspired by one of Warhol’s most celebrated polaroid self-portrait collages, taken in 1986.
The Andy Warhol ‘Collage’ Watch features a dial decorated with a marqueterie of colourful ornamental gemstones, arranged into an abstract form that echoes this specific artwork.
Characterised by the signature gadroons, the 45 mm x 43 mm cushion-shaped case, which measures 8.08 mm thick, is crafted from 18-carat yellow gold.
The dial has a black onyx base, a tribute to Andy Warhol’s personal watch from 1973, decorated with pink opal, green chrysoprase, and yellow serpentine stones. The ensemble is completed with dauphine hands in yellow gold.

The caseback is engraved with a rendition of the artist’s self-portrait on which the dial design is based, complete with the Maison’s logo and his signature.
The watch is powered by the self-winding 501P1 Manufacture calibre, operating at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) with a power reserve of 40 hours.
Despite it not being visible, the movement is lavishly finished with circular Côtes de Genève, circular-grained mainplate, bevelled bridges, and blued screws.
