Perrelet expands its Weekend collection with the introduction of a new hard-stone dial in a time-only model: the Weekend Malachite.
The watch comes in a well-proportioned 39 mm × 9.56 mm stainless steel case with a grooved crown adorned with the brand’s logo in relief.
The lines are enhanced by alternating satin-brushed and polished surfaces.
The slim bezel maximises the visual impact of the malachite dial
Malachite is a natural semi-precious stone composed of basic copper carbonate, used for decorative purposes and jewellery since the time of the ancient Egyptians, Greeks and Romans.
Distinguished by its vibrant hues ranging from light to deep green, malachite is visually striking with its unique veining — no two patterns are ever the same — making each timepiece distinct.
Protected by a sapphire crystal, the dial features rhodium-plated baton hour markers, doubled at 12 and 6 o’clock, along with refined dauphine-style hands.
The date window, positioned at 3 o’clock and framed by a three-dimensional silver-toned surround, displays black Arabic numerals on a white background.
Water-resistant to 5 ATM (50 metres / 165 feet), the timepiece reveals its finely decorated Perrelet calibre P-321 through a transparent case back secured by six screws.
This self-winding movement is produced for Perrelet by Soprod, part of a group of six Swiss watchmaking companies owned by Spanish entrepreneur Miguel Rodríguez, who also owns Perrelet and the Festina Group.
Visible details include circular-grained bridges, sunray finishing and the Perrelet logo on the openworked oscillating weight.
Operating at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour), it delivers a power reserve of 42 hours.
The Perrelet Weekend Malachite is paired with a refined seven-link stainless steel bracelet with alternating polished and satin finishes, secured by a folding clasp with double safety push-buttons.
The watch also comes with an additional green leather strap, embossed with an alligator pattern and crafted in the same rich shade as the malachite dial. Its steel pin buckle is personalised with the Perrelet logo.
Both the bracelet and strap are equipped with a quick-release system for easy interchangeability.
The new Perrelet Weekend Malachite is priced at CHF 1,590 / €1,590 / US$1,815. perrelet.com
