The highly successful Multifort TV Big Date from Mido adopts titanium for the first time, introducing a technical, monochrome look.
Thanks to its exceptional strength and remarkably low density, titanium makes the Multifort TV Big Date both durable and lightweight. Its advantageous properties extend throughout the watch, from the case to the bracelet.
Measuring 40 mm x 39.2 mm, the TV-shaped case is 11.5 mm thick and offers water resistance to a pressure of 10 bar (100 metres / 330 feet), aided by a screw-down crown well protected by two guards.
The bracelet mirrors the same interplay of satin-brushed and polished surfaces and is equipped with a folding clasp with push-buttons and an engraved Mido logo. It also features quick-release bars for easy strap changes.
Framed by a polished bezel, satin-finished on top, the dial displays a sunray satin-finished grey gradient with horizontal embossed lines, reinforcing the model’s theme built around shades of grey and layered textures.
At each quarter, trapezoidal hour markers complement the round indexes, while the Big Date display stands out at 12 o’clock. The outer chapter ring ensures optimal legibility by clearly marking the minutes.
The black nickel-plated, diamond-cut, and faceted hour and minute hands, together with the hour markers, are treated with white Super-LumiNova emitting a blue-green glow in the dark. A slender central seconds hand completes the display.
Visible through the transparent caseback, the self-winding Calibre 80 (based on ETA C07.651) beats at 21,600 vibrations per hour and offers a power reserve of up to 80 hours.
It is equipped with a Nivachron balance spring, known for its outstanding resistance to shocks and magnetic fields. The oscillating weight is decorated with Geneva stripes and the Mido logo.
