This new reference brings Ross’s industrial design language into the Big Bang Unico platform, marking a shift in the collaboration towards a more widely available format compared to the earlier, smaller-run tourbillon editions (see, for example, the Big Bang Tourbillon Samuel Ross and the Big Bang Tourbillon SR_A Samuel Ross 2023).

Limited to 200 pieces, the Big Bang Unico SR_A is housed in a 42 mm case crafted from satin-finished and polished black ceramic, with a thickness of 14.50 mm and water resistance rated to 10 ATM (100 metres / 330 feet).

The monochrome execution reinforces the stripped-back aesthetic associated with the SR_A series while remaining consistent with the modular architecture of the Big Bang line.

The bezel, also in black ceramic with alternating satin and polished surfaces, is secured by six black-plated titanium H-shaped screws.

A defining element of this edition is the honeycomb motif developed by Samuel Ross.

Previously explored in SR_A sculptures and earlier limited editions, the pattern appears here on a newly designed black structured rubber strap created specifically for this model.

The strap is paired with a deployant buckle clasp in black ceramic and black-plated titanium. The geometric texture adds depth while maintaining a lightweight and ergonomic profile.

The watch features Hublot’s “One-Click” system, allowing the strap to be changed without tools.

The matte black skeletonised dial reveals the architecture of the HUB1280 Unico manufacture movement, including the column wheel positioned at 6 o’clock and elements of the chronograph mechanism.

The self-winding calibre integrates a flyback chronograph function and operates at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour).

Comprising 354 components and 43 jewels, it is equipped with a Swiss silicon lever escapement and delivers a power reserve of approximately 72 hours.

The oscillating weight is crafted from tungsten with a black-plated circular satin finish.
