A. Lange & Söhne has released two new editions, each limited to 200 pieces, of its Saxonia Thin model, the quintessential dress watch of the German brand.
Available in 750 Honeygold (ref. 211.052) or 950 platinum (ref. 211.062), these special editions feature a jet-black, glossy onyx dial where the slender hands and baton-style markers, crafted in the same metal as the case, stand out elegantly, indicating the time in hours and minutes.
Their three-part 40 mm x 6.2 mm case houses the hand-wound Manufacture calibre L093.1, whose exceptional finishing can be admired through the sapphire crystal caseback.
Despite its compact architecture and mere 2.9 mm thickness, this 3 Hz (21,600 vibrations per hour) ultra-thin movement offers a power reserve of three full days.
Every element—from the ratio of the crown and ratchet wheels to the shape of the stop-click spring, the curve of the three-quarter plate, and the placement of blued screws around the gold chatons—is precisely calibrated for both mechanical balance and visual harmony.
The three screwed gold chatons, combining gold, ruby red, and cornflower blue tones, create a striking contrast.
Paired with a glossy black alligator leather strap, the new A. Lange & Söhne Saxonia Thin Limited Editions, either in Honeygold or platinum, have an indicative price of €45,000. alange-soehne.com
