Every year on 1 June, the anniversary of its founding in 1904, Oris marks the occasion with a special limited edition dedicated to its global community.

Named after the village that has been home to the company since its beginnings, the Hölstein Editions have become an annual platform for creative freedom, often introducing discreet details and unconventional ideas outside the framework of the regular collections.

For 2026, the independent Swiss watchmaker turns its attention to the recently redesigned Artelier line with a 250-piece limited edition that combines understated styling with subtle reflective elements.

Retaining the same proportions and key design elements, the new Hölstein Edition 2026 is housed in a multi-piece stainless steel case measuring 39.50 mm in diameter, 11.10 mm thick and 45.50 mm lug-to-lug.

Its architecture, characterised by polished surfaces, straight-sided hands and applied hour markers inspired by vintage Oris watches from the 1960s, gives the piece a clean and contemporary appearance while remaining rooted in the brand’s classic dress-watch tradition.

The light grey dial initially appears minimalist, though closer inspection reveals one of the watch’s defining features: the mirrored surface beneath the small seconds display at 6 o’clock, combined with a contrasting red small seconds hand.

The effect introduces an unexpected visual dimension without disturbing the overall balance of the dial.

The hour and minute hands are filled with Super-LumiNova, while a domed sapphire crystal with internal anti-reflective coating protects the display.

The theme of reflection continues on the screwed stainless steel case back, where Oris has employed a laser treatment that creates an iridescent mirror-like surface surrounding the engraved Oris Bear, the “Hölstein Edition 2026” inscription and two concentric rings.

Depending on the angle of the light, the surface shifts through rainbow colours, adding a discreetly playful touch to the otherwise minimalist design.

The Hölstein Edition 2026 is the first model in the new-generation Artelier collection to be powered by a movement from the Calibre 400 Series.

The automatic Oris Calibre 401 delivers a five-day power reserve of 120 hours, high anti-magnetic resistance and precision rated at -3/+5 seconds per day, within chronometer tolerances.

Operating at the frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour), the movement incorporates a stop-seconds function and fine timing device, and is covered by a 10-year warranty and recommended 10-year service intervals when registered through MyOris.
