As always, it’s free, open to all, and once again poised to transform The Bay into a hub for horological discovery for the weekend. Windup invites seasoned collectors and first-time enthusiasts alike to engage directly with brands, handle watches up close, and immerse themselves in a weekend that blends craftsmanship, community, and culture in a way few events can match.

With over 80 brands joining, we’d like to thank all of our sponsors, especially this year’s Lead Sponsors: Bremont, Brew, Christopher Ward, Frederique Constant, and Oris.

Bremont

After its introduction to Windup at last year’s NYC event, Bremont comes to San Francisco for the first time as a Lead Sponsor. Bremont brings a distinctly British sense of rugged precision with the Supernova 41mm Chronograph. Built with the brand’s aviation and military DNA in mind, the Supernova strikes a compelling balance between technical capability and refined design. Its compact 41mm case wears with versatility, while the chronograph functionality underscores Bremont’s commitment to utility-first watchmaking.

Brew

Brew has been a constant fixture at every Windup from day one and we’re honored to have them join SF for the very first time as a Lead Sponsor. The brand’s Metric Retro Dial continues the brand’s signature exploration of industrial design through a distinctly coffee-inspired lens. Compact, playful, and unmistakably Brew, the Metric Retro Dial leans into color and texture in a way that feels both nostalgic and modern. Its proportions are tight, its personality bold, and its execution thoughtful, proof that serious watchmaking doesn’t have to take itself too seriously.

Christopher Ward

Christopher Ward returns with one of the most talked-about watches in recent years: the Bel Canto. A striking example of accessible horological innovation, the Bel Canto reimagines the traditional chiming complication with a contemporary, openworked display that puts its mechanical theater front and center. It’s a watch that invites conversation, not just for what it does, but for how transparently and elegantly it does it, bridging the gap between high complication and everyday wearability.

Frederique Constant

For returning Lead Sponsor Frederique Constant, elegance takes a different form with their one-of-a-kind Manchette. A refined timepiece, the Manchette leans into the brand’s classical roots with a design that blurs the line between watch and bracelet. It’s delicate without being fragile, expressive without being overstated. It’s an object that speaks to Frederique Constant’s ongoing commitment to accessible, high design with a distinctly European sensibility.

Oris

Rounding out the Lead Sponsor highlights, Oris presents the recently rereleased Star Edition, a piece that reflects the brand’s independent spirit and design-forward approach. Known for its purposeful tool watches, Oris continues to experiment with color, materials, and storytelling, and the Star Edition embodies that ethos. It’s bold, slightly unconventional, and unmistakably Oris, a reminder that independence in watchmaking often leads to the most interesting results. As always, we’re continually grateful for Oris and their longtime sponsorship of Windup!

Beyond the watches, this year’s Fair expands its scope with the return of the EDC Expo, presented by GiantMouse. Continual supporters of Windup, the team at GiantMouse is elevating the gear and accessories section in a meaningful way with their ACE Riv in titanium, brass, green canvas Micarta™, and more. For the first time, you’ll also find Kindred Motorworks on-site, showcasing their meticulously restored EV Broncos—and yes, you can sign up to test drive one through some of San Francisco’s most iconic streets.

Throughout the weekend, the venue will be alive with collectors, enthusiasts, and curious newcomers. Miyota returns as the Official Movement Sponsor, offering insight into their approach to reliable, high-quality calibers that power countless watches across the industry. Expect a full slate of brand activations, food trucks, and special experiences, including Scotch whisky tastings courtesy of Bruichladdich, back in San Francisco for the third consecutive year. Stop by the Panel & Podcast Room for a full slate of daily programming with your favorite brands, and be sure to take advantage of on-site service from our friends at Topper Fine Jewelers, who will have a watchmaker available throughout the weekend for complimentary strap changes and bracelet resizings.
