UNCOMPROMISING ENDURANCE

Thanks to a partnership with Aston Martin that began as 2025 came to a close, the young brand released a 50-piece edition boasting a flurry of high-tech and stylistic assets.

When it showcased its BL-Evolution Hyperblack at the end of last year, Lorige also center staged another model in its new collection, the BL-Evolution Bleu Asphalte, which features the same high-performing movement, but comes with different adornments. Like its alter ego, this variation boasts a case (50 x 42 x 10.3 mm) crafted from Carbon/Carbon brake pads. Yet these were sourced from other Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR-LMH racers. This time round, the material used was procured from prototypes that had run in the 12 hours of Sebring 2025 and the 24 hours of Daytona 2026. The caseback and bezel, still fashioned in grade 5 titanium, enhance the watch’s resolutely sporty look.

Inside the multi-layered time-data scenography, the hour and minute hands hover over blue solid-block-colored numerals, while the small seconds at 6 o’clock, decorated in yellow and blue, jazzes up the composition. This openworked dial also hosts an indicator at 9 o’clock dressed in the same hues that informs the wearer of the energy still available supplied by the LOR-DB01 caliber developed by Chronode. This manual-wind movement wows with its performances, namely its outstanding 168-hour power reserve. It also stands out with the microblasted and rhodium-plated finishes on its mainplate and bridges, as well as its NAC-treated Côtes de Genève patterns. To ensure perfect visual harmony, the BL-Evolution Bleu Asphalte is complemented by an azure vulcanized rubber strap.
