Pequignet expands its Royale Paris 39.5 mm line with a new version featuring an icy blue dial.
The subtle tone introduces a cooler aesthetic to the collection, inspired by the winter landscapes of the Jura mountains, while preserving the technical architecture that defines the model.
The new dial colour accentuates the layered construction and finishing. Its finely grained surface is intersected by sandblasted grooves, creating depth and contrast under changing light.
At 3:30, the small seconds subdial is framed by a snailed motif, while the large date is positioned prominently with a double aperture at 12o’clock.
The power reserve indicator is located at 8 o’clock, balancing the composition, and the moon phase display at 6 o’clock presents a double aperture showing both the Northern and Southern hemispheres.
The polished steel hour and minute hands are treated with Super-LumiNova TC1 (blue emission), ensuring legibility, while the seconds and power reserve hands are rendered in polished steel.
The stainless steel case combines polished and satin-finished surfaces and measures 39.5 mm in diameter with a thickness of 11.5 mm, including the box-type sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment.
The crown is embossed with the fleur-de-lys emblem, and a discreet corrector for the moon phase is positioned at 8:30.
The sapphire case back, fixed by six screws, reveals the movement. Water resistance is rated to 5 ATM (50 metres / 165 feet).
Powering the watch is the in-house Calibre Royal, an automatic movement operating at 3 Hz (21,600 vibrations per hour) and delivering a 96-hour power reserve thanks to a single large barrel, an increase from the previous 88 hours.
The calibre features a bidirectional winding system via the oscillating weight and a large balance wheel with regulating screws to enhance inertia and stability.
The large date and day displays are aligned on the same axis and feature an instantaneous jump, allowing adjustment at any time. All complications are integrated on a single main plate.
Designed, developed and hand-assembled in Pequignet’s workshops in Morteau, the movement incorporates components sourced within an 80 km radius. It is regulated to ensure daily performance between -4 and +6 seconds. A sunray-finished oscillating weight with rhodium plating incorporates a 3N lys motif.
Secured by a stainless steel folding clasp, the watch features a practical strap interchangeability system.
