MB&F continues the celebration of its 20th anniversary with a truly unprecedented initiative: 20 special timepieces to be raffled free of charge among its community of collectors and fans.
The gesture is aimed both at “The Tribe,” MB&F’s circle of owners, and at the thousands of enthusiasts who have participated in M.A.D.Editions raffles over the years.
In total, 20 watches will be awarded: 10 examples of the LM101 Longhorn 20th Anniversary Edition and 10 of the M.A.D.1S 20th Anniversary Edition.
Both are stainless steel pieces in a silver, black, and blue colourway, echoing earlier anniversary Longhorn models. They will never be commercialised otherwise.
Introduced in 2014, the LM101 remains one of MB&F’s most compact Machines, powered by a hand-finished movement created with Kari Voutilainen. The Longhorn edition is distinguished by its extended lugs, a design reserved for special occasions, and a rhodium-plated dial plate with black sub-dials and blued hands.
A special engraving on the sapphire back reads: “Fortune Favours the Bold.”
The M.A.D.1 series, launched in 2021, quickly evolved into a phenomenon of its own. The 20th Anniversary version of the M.A.D.1S adopts the same celebratory palette as the LM101 Longhorn, enhanced with Roman numerals on the hours and minutes cylinder, a first for M.A.D.Editions.
It is powered by the Swiss Made La Joux-Perret G101 calibre and paired with a light brown leather strap. The case-back carries the same anniversary engraving.
The raffles will take place in October under the supervision of a bailiff. LM101 pieces will be reserved for Tribe members who have registered their Machines, while M.A.D.1S pieces will be drawn among those who have previously entered M.A.D.Editions raffles.
Winners will be invited to Geneva to collect their watches at the MB&F M.A.D.House.
Reflecting on the initiative,MB&F founder Maximilian Büsser described it as a way to thank the brand’s entire ecosystem: “This 20th anniversary allows us to say thank you to our community: our team, the artisans we call Friends, our Tribe members, our retail partners, the growing M.A.D.Editions community… without whom our ideas would have remained simply that: ideas.” mbandf.com
