MeisterSinger takes its single-hand approach to reading time into a 24-hour format with the Edition 24H (ref. ED-PM9903-24H), a limited-edition watch in which the hand completes one full rotation over an entire day.
The concept extends the Münster-based brand’s long-standing approach of displaying time with a single hand, dispensing with separate minute and seconds hands in favour of a more measured reading of the day.
On a conventional MeisterSinger single-hand watch, the hand travels around the dial twice in 24 hours.
The Edition 24H reduces this speed by half, completing one rotation in 24 hours and placing morning, noon, evening and night on the same circular scale. The result is a display that shows not only the approximate time but also its position within the broader course of the day.
The ivory-coloured dial uses a two-level arrangement to accommodate the 24-hour scale.
Odd-numbered hours from 01 to 23 are placed around the outer edge, while the even numbers from 02 to 24 sit further inward.
Selected dots and markers are highlighted in two shades of blue, providing subtle accents against the otherwise restrained dial. A black, needle-shaped hand indicates the time as it makes its single journey around the dial.
The dial is read with 12 at the top, 18 at the right, 24 at the bottom and 06 at the left. The upper half therefore broadly corresponds to daytime, while the lower half represents the night. For a more precise indication, each hour is divided into six 10-minute intervals by a finely graduated scale.
The watch uses the 40 mm stainless steel case from MeisterSinger’s Pangaea line, measuring 10.3 mm in thickness.
Its flowing lines and relatively slender proportions complement the understated character of the dial. Sapphire crystal protects the front, while the case provides water resistance to 5 bar.
At the back, a six-screw exhibition case back provides a view of the Swiss-made Sellita SW330 automatic movement. The calibre operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and, according to the supplied specifications, provides a 56-hour power reserve.
The movement can therefore be observed through the transparent case back while retaining the practical convenience of automatic winding.
The Edition 24H is fitted with a brown calf leather strap featuring crocodile embossing, which complements the ivory dial and the restrained appearance of the stainless steel case.
Limited to 100 pieces worldwide, each watch carries an individually engraved limited-edition number on the case back and is supplied with a signed certificate. The MeisterSinger Edition 24H (ref. ED-PM9903-24H) is priced at €3,190. meistersinger.com
