Mido presents the Ocean Star 200 M026.930.11.011.00 in black and white, a new interpretation of its performance-oriented diver, combining a 41 mm stainless-steel case with a grained white dial, black details and a mechanical movement offering an 80-hour power reserve.
The design is centred on contrast and legibility.
The grained white dial is framed by a black flange, while the day-date display at 3 o’clock reinforces the graphic character of the composition.
Polished black indexes and diamond-cut hour and minute hands are coated with white Super-LumiNova, as is the large seconds hand, whose orange-lacquered tip provides a discreet accent.
The “Caliber 80” inscription also appears in Mido orange.
The satin-finished and polished stainless-steel case measures 41 mm in diameter and 47.03 mm from lug to lug.
A unidirectional rotating bezel with an aluminium ring features a white Super-LumiNova marker at 12 o’clock, while the sapphire crystal is treated with anti-reflective coating on both sides.
A screw-down crown and screw-on case back complete the construction, which is water-resistant to 20 bar, equivalent to 200 metres / 660 feet.
The case back features a polished starfish in relief, recalling the maritime character of the Ocean Star collection, together with the watch’s serial number.
Powering the Ocean Star 200 is the automatic Mido Caliber 80, based on the ETA C07.621 architecture.
Measuring 25.60 mm in diameter and 5.31 mm thick, the 25-jewel movement operates at 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz) and is equipped with a Nivachron balance spring, offering enhanced resistance to magnetic fields. Adjusted in three positions, it provides up to 80 hours of power reserve.
The stainless-steel bracelet combines satin-finished outer links with a polished central link and is secured by a folding clasp with diving extension. Mido’s quick-change system allows the bracelet to be removed without tools.
