Nomos Glashütte has expanded its Ahoi neomatik collection with two new references that bring the popular sky blue and sand-coloured dials to a more compact format.
Previously available on the larger 38.5 mm Ahoi neomatik models with date powered by the Manufacture Calibre DUW 6101, these colours now appear in a 36.3 mm case paired with a cleaner no-date display and the ultra-thin automatic Calibre DUW 3001.
The new Ahoi neomatik sky, Ref. 568 (sapphire crystal caseback) and Ref. 568.SB (solid caseback), features a sky-blue dial, while the Ahoi neomatik sand, Ref. 569 and Ref. 569.SB, adopts a warm sand-coloured tone.
In both cases, the dials retain the balanced, highly legible character of the Ahoi collection, with white Super-LumiNova-filled hour markers and rhodium-plated hands, complemented by a contrasting orange central seconds hand that adds a subtle sporty touch.
The sapphire crystal protecting the dial features an anti-reflective coating on both sides, enhancing readability under bright sunlight and reducing unwanted reflections.
Designed as versatile everyday watches equally at ease in urban and outdoor environments, the new models combine the collection’s characteristic blend of elegance and robustness.
Their stainless-steel cases measure 36.3 mm in diameter and only 9.1 mm in thickness with the sapphire crystal caseback, or 9.0 mm with the solid back.
The case architecture remains faithful to the Ahoi concept, featuring crown guards and a screw-down crown.
The latter incorporates Nomos’ practical red warning ring system, which remains visible until the crown is fully screwed down.
Secured by six screws, the case offers water resistance to 20 atm (200 metres / 660 feet), a specification reflected by the engraved whale motif on the caseback and one that makes the watch suitable for swimming, sailing and recreational diving.
Powering the new references is the in-house automatic Calibre DUW 3001.
Measuring just 3.2 mm in height, this remarkable movement enables the watch’s remarkably slim profile while offering a power reserve of up to 43 hours.
The movement incorporates the proprietary Nomos swing system escapement, a tempered blue balance spring, the brand’s DUW fine-adjustment system and a stop-seconds mechanism.
Adjusted in six positions, it is finished according to Glashütte traditions with ribbing, perlage, blued screws and a three-quarter plate architecture.
The sapphire-back versions allow these details to be admired through the display caseback.
The Ahoi neomatik sky is paired with a woven blue-black textile strap, while the Ahoi neomatik sand is fitted with a dark grey woven textile strap. Both feature an 18 mm lug width and reinforce the collection’s practical, sporty character.
With the introduction of the new Ahoi neomatik sky and Ahoi neomatik sand, Nomos Glashütte extends the appeal of two of the collection’s most distinctive dial colours to those who prefer a more compact case and the clean symmetry of a no-date display, while retaining the robust construction and everyday versatility that define the Ahoi line.
The Nomos Glashütte Ahoi neomatik sky and Ahoi neomatik sand are priced at €3,260 with a solid caseback (Refs. 568.SB and 569.SB) or €3,560 with a sapphire crystal caseback (Refs. 568 and 569). nomos-glashuette.com
